Removed, cut down and now in file, brown ink, Leopold Cust’s hand: “Subject. ‘Faith’. (Rubens ?) / Collectors mark in bottom left hand / corner, J.P.Z. is that of J.P. Zoomer who / died in 1735; he lived at Amsterdam. / Paper is probably early 18th Century. / Sketch is probably Flemish School. / Above particulars supplied to me by / Campbell Dodgson of the Print Dept. British Museum / L.C.”.
