Watermark: centre: large crowned shield containing a Paschal lamb, below is the letter "M" (2.3 cm between chain lines. No match found in Churchill, Heawood, Briquet or Piccard. Also checked against Rembrandt WIRE database, and is similar to Watermarks D.a.a. and D.a.b. but also not a match).

Inscription: Mount (historic), Recto: lower left, brown ink: “Rembrant: Del.”; lower left corner, graphite, acc. no: “17.32”. Mount (historic), Verso: upper right corner, brown ink: “28”; upper left, graphite: “1/”; centre, brown ink: “Rembrant (Van Ryn) Gerretse. / commonly call’d / Rembrant_ / died in 1674, aged / 68”; lower centre edge, graphite: “15 5/8 x 13 ½”.
